Once again, the IISS "E. Majorana" is leading the way in a Copernican revolution in teaching. Hundreds of experts and teachers from across Italy gathered at the branch office in the Casale district until Saturday evening for the presentation of the "Book in Progress" project, a network that, once fully operational, will provide teachers and students from all secondary schools of all disciplines with access to specific teaching materials, designed specifically for each individual's level and needs.
Artificial intelligence as a resource, not a threat: this is the fundamental concept of a platform that, starting in Brindisi, has already conquered the whole of Italy. And, as school principal Salvatore Giuliano confirmed, it will be open source and free, even for schools that haven't yet joined the project. All of this, of course, will also result in significant cost savings for families. The handouts cover almost all subjects in the curriculum, and what began as an experiment in the Brindisi school's vast laboratory of ideas and planning has become a national phenomenon: "It's an innovation to support Italian schools," says principal Giuliano, coordinator of the network and once again at the forefront of school change, "allowing students to personalize their learning according to their own pace and learning schedule, while teachers will be able to add content as needed, paying special attention to students with disabilities."
